Have you tried reinstalling the drivers? It could also be a maintenance issue. Make sure you’re chromebook isn’t completely taxed. Chromebooks aren’t the beefiest machines, so it’s likely the cause.

So Thank you for your very comprehensive coverage of this issue which was exactly like mine. In the past if the batteries were low it just stopped until i put fresh one. Anyway as you suggested here I checked them and only one of the two had reading so i put some new ones and hope this is the end of it 🙂
